The Thai Real Estate Business School and the Thai Appraisal Foundation will organize the above AP 150: Fundamentals of Mass Appraisal. We cordially invite you or nominate your colleagues to join this international course of AP150.

 

About the Course: 
AP150 - Fundamentals of Mass Appraisal provides an introduction to mass appraisal. Topics covered include single-property appraisal versus mass appraisal, components of a mass appraisal system, data requirements and analysis, introduction to statistics, use of assessment ratio studies in mass appraisal, modeling of the three approaches to value, and selection of a mass appraisal system. Handouts and a book on Fundamentals of Mass Appraisal will be delivered for the students to study in further details as well.

 

This class will cover
- The similarities/differences between single-property appraisal and mass appraisal
- The components and processes of a mass appraisal system including data requirements and analysis
- An introduction to statistics
- How to develop and use assessment ratio studies in mass appraisal
- The use of the Cost Approach, Sales Comparison Approach and income Approach to value models in mass appraisal
- Aspects to consider in selecting a mass appraisal
- CAMA management issues to be addressed in mass appraisal

 

There will be a quiz at every chapter. In the afternoon of the last day, there will be a close-book examination to assess the study. Successful students will receive a certificate of achievement and unsuccessful students will receive a certificate of attendance.

 

The Instructors
Mr.Gino Mitrione, Valuer at City of Whittlesea and Lecturer at the University of Melbourne and has been teaching valuation abroad too.  He has extensive experience in mass appraisal as the Manager Property, Rates & Valuation Services to City of Whittlesea for over 20 years, Manager Valuations to City of Moreland for 8 years, and Manager Valuations of City of Werribee for another 2 years.  He graduated from the RMIT, Melbourne.

 

Sopon Pornchokchai, PhD D.FIABCI CRS MRICS
He is an experienced valuer and lecturer on valuation in Thailand and abroad. He had further property valuation training from LRTI-Lincoln Institute of Land Policy and in housing from Katholieke Universiet Leuven, Belgium.  He is currently the President of FIABCI-Thai.  He is the first in Thailand who built mass appraisal modeling in 1990 and has done for several land readjustment schemes.
